What could you try for the first time?

I chose to answer this question with a poem to add some excitement, celebrating the beauty of words and their rhythm; poetry can turn simple thoughts into powerful expressions that touch our hearts. So, here it goes

Exploring the Unknown

What could I try for the first time,
To soar beyond the mountain’s climb?
A dance, a song, a brand new rhyme,
Or painting colors in a prime.

Perhaps a dish from a foreign land,
Or crafting art with your very own hand.
To travel far to a distant shore,
Or to learn a language, and so much more.

For life is a canvas, blank and wide,
With adventures waiting on every side.
So, take a step, and don’t delay,
Try something new, make your own way.

What skill would you like to learn?

I would like to learn to play the piano because I have always been drawn to the beautiful and versatile sound of the instrument. The piano has the ability to produce a wide range of tones and emotions, and I am fascinated by the idea of being able to create such expressive music with my own hands. I also believe that playing the piano would provide me with a creative outlet and a means of relaxation, as well as a way to connect with others through the universal language of music.

I think I could pay more attention to my physical health and well-being. I often get caught up in work and neglect to exercise and eat healthily. I also want to focus more on developing personal relationships and spending quality time with friends and family.

Timeless R&B Classic

What’s your all-time favorite album?

My all-time favorite album has to be “II” by Boyz II Men. Dropped in 1994, this album is special in my heart because it’s just a classic mix of R&B and soul. The way they harmonize, those heartfelt lyrics, and those smooth melodies make it unbeatable. Boyz II Men’s vocal skills and how they deliver their songs, like “I’ll Make Love to You” and “On Bended Knee,” always hit me right in the feels. The whole production of the album and how they spill their emotions through the music make “II” a total gem in the R&B scene. It’s one of those albums I can put on and vibe with from start to finish, and it always lifts my mood.

They are coming to my area in December, and I would love to see them perform again. However, I need to find someone to go with since I am tired of going alone, but if I have to, I will.

The personality trait that raises a red flag for me is when someone is consistently dishonest or deceitful. It’s really hard to trust and build a genuine relationship with someone who isn’t truthful.

The word “okay” has become a default response in many of my conversations, often used as a quick and convenient answer to the “how are you?” question. It’s a way to avoid delving into deeper feelings or thoughts. As I continue to work on reducing my use of this word, I’ll remember that it’s okay to share my real feelings and experiences, even if they’re not always positive. This can create opportunities for authentic conversations and deeper connections with those around me.

My Name

Where did your name come from?

When my mom was young, she watched Little House on the Prairie and absolutely fell in love with it. The heartfelt stories and strong characters made a lasting impression on her. She was particularly taken with the actresses Melissa Gilbert and Melissa Sue Anderson, who portrayed the characters of Laura and Mary Ingalls. So, when it came time to choose a name for me, she decided to use the names of these two actresses.

I find having a few close friends really gives me a boost. They’re always there for me, whether I’m going after my goals or dealing with tough times. We cheer each other on, celebrate when things go well, and create a safe place for talking about worries. Their upbeat attitude and strong belief in me keep me going, even when times are hard. Knowing they support me gives me the courage and confidence to chase after my dreams with excitement.
