The Dance of the Digits: A Millennium’s Challenge

Your three words today are:
DOUBLE
MILLENNIUM
SEQUENCE

In every millennium, a contest unfolds,
A challenge of wits, a riddle of old.
With treasures of fortune, you stand to gain,
But to seize the riches, you must use your brain.

A sequence awaits, so cunning and sly,
Its patterns obscure, like clouds in the sky.
With numbers that dance in a cryptic ballet,
You’ll unlock the mystery, if you find the right way.

So gather your courage, prepare for the test,
The thrill of the puzzle is what I love best.
For in solving the enigma, your fortune will bloom,
Double the riches, brightening your room.

Embrace every challenge, let intuition steer,
For in each step taken, your path will be clear.
In the dance of the digits, let your mind take flight,
In the heart of the contest, you’ll find your delight.

Poetry

A Fizzy Companion

A tasty soda
feels just right.
Bubbles dance,
a sparkling delight.
Sipped on a porch,
under the sun’s warm glow,
With friends all around,
laughter starts to flow.

A fizzy embrace,
sweet and refreshing,
Every sip taken,
a moment worth cherishing.
In the warmth of summer,
or a cozy night in,
This simple pleasure
always makes me grin.

So here’s to the flavors,
the joy they ignite,
A fizzy companion,
that feels just right.

Finding Joy in the Chaos

Your three words today are:
TWO
THOUSAND
ONE

Two thousand and one things to do,
How will I ever get it done?
Overwhelmed by a mountain high,
Need to tackle chores but find some fun.

With soda in hand, one step at a time,
I’ll take a breath, let worries unwind.
In the chaos, I’ll find joy anew,
Embracing the journey in all that I do.

Missy's MAD Challenge, Poetry

The Power of Humor

Your challenge for the week

  • Without any doubt, it was a very silly thing to say

Without a doubt, it was a silly thing to say,
But it slipped out before I could keep it at bay.
Now everyone stares, like I’m from another place,
I need to defuse this with some humor and grace.

“Just kidding!” I chuckle, but the weight lingers still,
So, I think of a joke to lighten the thrill.
“Did you hear about the chicken?” I start with a grin,
And soon laughter erupts, breaking the tension within.

So, if you ever stumble, just be brave and smile,
A little good humor can go a long mile.
What felt like a blunder can turn into cheer,
With laughter connecting us, there’s nothing to fear.

A Symbol of Strength

Daily writing prompt
What tattoo do you want and where would you put it?

I have always wanted a tattoo, but I have never gotten one. I would like it to symbolize my struggles with social anxiety and serve as a reminder of how far I have come. I would prefer to have the tattoo on my wrist so that I can see it whenever I need encouragement. I am open for any ideas

Poetry, Word of the Day

Bagpipes

In misty glens where echoes roam,
The bagpipes call their ancient tone.
With breath of earth and heart of stone,
They weave a tale of lands unknown.

Each note a whisper, bright and bold,
Of stories shared and legends told.
Through heather fields where shadows play,
The haunting sound will guide the way.

In every rise and mournful sigh,
A piece of soul takes to the sky.
So let them play, let spirits dance,
For in their song, we find our chance.

Poetry

Resilience in Steel

Steel stands steadfast, strong,
Rules bind me, won’t bend or break.
Stillness in the storm,
Holding ground through trials faced.
Withstanding the test of time.

Poetry, Word of the Day

Whispers of Hope

They swarm away
not wanting to get close
is there something wrong with me
All I want is friendship and love
Alas I guess it is not for me.

Yet in the shadows, hope remains,
For laughter’s touch and kindness’ chains.
I’ll keep my heart open and wide,
Waiting for love to walk beside.

Poetry

Framework of Dreams

In quiet streets, the scaffolding stays,

A frame that holds the dreams we cannot see.

Each plank and beam, a dance of held delays,

A sturdy cradle where we long to be.

Yet time is slow, like whispers on the breeze,

While hopes ascend, each layer built with care,

And through the gaps, the sky’s bright blue conveys,

The promise of what soon will linger there.

Echoes of Love and Loss

Memories linger, soft as a whisper,
Overwhelming waves of sorrow wash over,
Underneath the weight of love lost,
Reflections of moments, a heavy cost.
Night falls heavy, silence wraps tight,
In each heartbeat, echoes of light,
Never forgotten, the bonds we shared,
Grief paints the canvas of how much we cared.
