Man with a Pot

Man with a Pot

There once was a man with a pot,
Who always wore a stylish bowtie and top hat,
His loyal and loving pet,
Would often get wet,
From all the droplets the pot splashed on the cat!

Inner B*tch

In the workplace, it’s important to be kind

But sometimes, your inner b*tch wants to unwind

She’s sassy and fierce, ready to speak her mind

But in a professional setting, she must be confined

She may want to snap at a rude coworker

Or tell off a boss who’s a micromanager

But instead, she must bite her tongue

And keep her emotions in check, for the work to be done

It’s not easy to keep her in line

When all she wants to do is shine

But in the end, it’s for the best

To keep her inner b*tch at rest

So take a deep breath and count to ten

Before letting her out to play again

For in the workplace, it’s important to be kind

And keep your inner b*tch in check, for peace of mind.

International Corgi Day!

In the spirt of International Corgi Day. I have decieded to create a limerick to help celebrate them.

There once were some Corgis so fair,
With fluffy coats and a playful air,
Their legs were quite short,
But they’d always cavort,
Bringing joy with every wag and stare!

Safe Space

In a safe space, we find peace and grace,

Where judgment and fear have no place.

A haven where hearts can open wide,

And souls can freely dance and glide.

In this sanctuary, we’re free to be,

No masks, no pretense, just you and me.

A refuge from the storms outside,

Where love and acceptance will abide.

In a safe space, we can heal and grow,

Embracing our truth, letting our light show.

With kindness as our guiding star,

We find belonging, no matter who we are.

So let’s create safe spaces, far and near,

Where everyone’s worth is crystal clear.

In these havens, let love embrace,

And together, we’ll thrive in safe space.

Frankensteina- Art and Poem

Poem by Anthony

Frankensteina

Short tempered teacher sits at her loom

Creating a dark aura of gloom.

Her students remained frightened

Since her bolts need to be tightened.

So the classroom is filled with such doom.

Artwork & Poem: Clubbing Manifesto

Clubbing Manifesto

Tony was from Rowland Heights

He’d rest all day and party nights.

Then he’d groan and roll over

Each morning with a hangover.

Donning his periwinkle tights.

Art Work- Feelings with Poem

Poem by Anthony

https://empathmuch.wordpress.com/

Sekenglif (feelings)

A perfect sphere surrounds us each day

It’s our reality of everything we see

A myriad of emotions, are at play

And many affect both you and me

Outside the sphere, feelings abound

And each its own unique face

Happiness, sadness, and others are found

Surrounding people of every race

Which we choose or rather chooses us

We often have very little choice

Confronting our feelings is a must

When talking in our inner voice

We might as well roll with it all

There’s no need to lose control

Feelings, inside of us rise and fall

Learn to ride the ebb and flow

So how do we deal with all these thoughts

How do we gain an upper hand

Dealing with the past, you’ve wrought

Helps you draw boundaries in the sand

Then one day, you create a space

Between what you see and what you feel

Putting self control in place

Preventing overreaction, a bad way to deal

So as the realities challenge with strife

Remember, you are in control

Of your reality and your life

Don’t let your feelings take a toll…

Art & Poem- 100 Ghost

Poem by Anthony
https://empathmuch.wordpress.com/

100 ghosts are haunting me

Not fifty, seventy-five, thirty, or three.

Each one takes up its own space

With different expressions upon their face

A snarky smirk or frown for a while

A look of anger or crooked smile

Why are they here what do they want

Can’t they find another to haunt

I’d ask them all but they don’t say

Why they never go away

I should hire a medium to take a look

Or tell me why they continue to spook

But the spiritual world is a closed book

And as a mortal I’m afraid to look

So I found my answer in the end

Rather than fight them, embrace them friends

As my logical conclusion is here

The ghosts all start to disappear

First smirky, fearful, then happy and mad

Next nervous, thoughtful, then silly and sad

Each ghostly apparition leaves

Taking along their gown and sleeves

As they’re gone I realize the key

Each of the ghosts was an aspect of me

Emotions can be scary but never fear

There’s a hundred feelings for everyone here.

So next time when adversity has you thrown

Think of those chalky friends and you won’t be alone.

Abby- An ABC Poem

This is my first try at this type of poem. I was encouraged to post. I hope it is good.

—-

Abby the adventurer

Busily bumbling along

Curious looking for an adventure

Daring to try new things

Even questioning her elders

Forever getting into mischief

Going whatever strikes her fancy

Hurling into whatever she does

Itching to have some fun

Just waiting for the right one to come along

Knowing that it might not be easy but is better than

Laying around doing nothing all day

Monkeying around

Never staying in one place

Open to new ideas

Pondering if she should

Quit

Resilient to continue

Suddenly to her surprise, a

Tantalizing adventure awaits

Under the swings

Venturing slowly

Weighing in her mind, if

X-ray vision is needed

Yahoo she is close

Zoom off she went

Poem- Anxiety

My heart races, my palms sweat,

As I enter the crowded room.

My mind is filled with worry and regret,

As I search for a place to resume.

The fear of judgment weighs me down,

As I try to blend in with the crowd.

I feel like a stranger in my own town,

As I struggle to speak out loud.

The eyes upon me feel like a spotlight,

Exposing every flaw and mistake.

I wish I could disappear from sight,

And hide away from all the fake.

But I know I must face my fears,

And push through the discomfort and pain.

For only then will I truly appear,

And break free from the social anxiety chain.

New Feelings

Here is a little something I wrote a while ago. I just now felt comfortable to post it on here.

———————————————————————————-

I feel a stirring deep within,
A sensation I can’t quite define.
It’s like a whisper on the wind,
A feeling that is wholly mine.

I’ve never felt this way before,
This rush of emotions so new.
It’s like a wave crashing on the shore,
A feeling that is pure and true.

I’m lost in a sea of unknown,
But I’m not afraid to dive in.
For this feeling has truly shown,
That in this moment, I begin.

To feel things I never thought I could,
To experience life in a brand new light.
I embrace this feeling, as I should,
For it’s leading me to a future bright.

So I’ll cherish this feeling, hold it dear,
For it’s a gift that I never knew.
And as I navigate this uncharted sphere,
I’ll let it guide me, strong and true.

Negativity

I wake up with a heavy heart,
Filled with thoughts that tear me apart.
Negativity clouds my mind,
Leaving no room for peace to find.

I see the world through a darkened lens,
Unable to see the beauty that transcends.
My thoughts are consumed by fear and doubt,
Leaving me feeling lost and without.

I try to shake off this heavy weight,
But it clings to me with relentless hate.
I long for the light to break through,
And lift me from this darkened view.

But for now, I must face the day,
With a mindset that leads me astray.
I know that I must find a way,
To break free from this negative sway.

So I’ll take a deep breath and try to see,
The good that surrounds and sets me free.
I’ll push through the darkness and find the light,
And banish this negativity from my sight.
